A children’s theater institute will open in the Iranian capital city of Tehran this week.
Private cultural organization Tamashagan will open its children’s theater institute specializing in children and young adult theater on Friday.
The opening ceremony will be held at the studio of Pich Plateau in Tehran at 5pm.
Established in 2015, Tamashagan has been authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to operate in the field of education and production of theater for children and young adults.
The ongoing efforts of Tamashagan helped kick off World Theater Day (WTD) on Iran’s national calendar last year. The institute also organizes official celebrations of children’s theater during WTD.
Tamashagan is managed by theater director and actor, playwright and puppeteer Hamed Zahmatkesh.
